Working - without expecting recognition

Working without expecting anything back – that is what you must be able to achieve. For nothing hinders you more than expecting to be recognized or appreciated for the work you do. You wait and wait… and waiting paralyses you. If you are always on the lookout for a sign of approval or encouragement, which may never come, it will affect what you are doing. And yet, human beings are only able to blossom when they are active, when their physical body is active, but above all when their heart, mind, soul and spirit are active. By expecting recognition of whatever kind, do you not feel you are limiting yourself and that something is casting a shadow inside? So make the decision to act for the simple reason alone that you feel it is useful and good to do so; that is all. Expect nothing in return, and you will live in freedom and light.
