Freedom - only the Lord is free; to be free we must rise up to the Lord

The degree of freedom you enjoy depends on which rung you have reached on the ladder of evolution. If you are at the bottom of the ladder you have no freedom. Are animals free? Or plants? Or stones? Even among human beings, many are not free: they are driven and influenced by other people, or by entities from the invisible world. Their decisions are not their own. In order to be free you must rise up to the Lord. It is at the top that you are free, and nowhere else. Only the Lord is free. All other creatures are not free, not even the archangels; they are immersed in the soul of the Lord, and receive His influence. They are free through the Lord’s freedom, but they are not free in relation to the Lord. Only the Lord is free, and all creatures are free through His freedom only to the extent that they draw close to the Lord: but not in any other way.
