Answers from Heaven, the - being attentive in order to receive them

How many of the faithful ask to receive light and help from the angels only to be found looking elsewhere or dozing when the light and the angels appear? They then complain that praying offers them no support. Indeed, what support can those whose consciousness is slumbering receive? It is useless to pray to heaven if we have not first developed the faculties that will allow us to receive its answers and help. These faculties are foremost attentiveness and vigilance; they can be compared to a highly sensitive device that alerts us when our prayers are about to be answered. So, instead of bothering the Lord and his angels with requests, it is preferable to activate this device which will vibrate at their approach, announcing the arrival of a messenger, a visitor. A true spiritualist knows that they must always be ready. Day after day, they seek to develop their receptive devices, they fine-tune their sensitivity, and because they remain vigilant, they hope not to be absent, deaf or blind when heaven opens up, when the Spirit comes to enlighten them.
