Sleep - an extension of the concerns that occupy our waking hours
Sleep is simply an extension in another form of the concerns that occupy our waking hours. Those who endeavour, during the day, to rise above their prosaic, self-centred interests and attain a higher, broader level of consciousness, find favourable conditions in which to continue this work while they sleep. Their soul leaves their body and travels through space, discovering other worlds and their inhabitants. And when they wake up, even if they do not remember all they have seen and heard, the traces of their travels leave a deep impression on them that gradually transforms their understanding of things.*
