Scientific truth - true knowledge is found in life

We are always hearing the praises of ‘scientific truth’. Far more important than scientific truth, however, is the truth of life. The truth of life means learning to situate all forms of life within the cosmic structure in order to see how they vibrate in harmony and how they participate in the life of the Whole. Therefore, it is not enough to observe and study all the elements of nature in fine detail. We must go further and see what connects them in order to understand how something that they do not possess independently – life – flows from one to the other. True knowledge is found in life. Take the elements apart, and life is no longer there. Knowing that a mineral or plant has such and such a property, smell, taste and colour is not what matters most, for as long as you treat these separately, you cut them off from life. But tie them in with all the other elements of earth and sky, and then life appears and true knowledge is yours.*
