One and zero - in spiritual life

How did the masculine principle (the 1) create matter, the feminine principle (the 0)? By curving round and joining its two extremities together. When this happened, the circle was formed, representing matter, the entire universe. The 1, the creative principle, therefore comes before all else, and the 0, creation or the created, necessarily follows it. By placing the 1 before the 0, you increase its power tenfold: the 1 becomes 10. But if you reverse this (01), you decrease it tenfold. Let's transpose what happens here to the inner life: if you, the created being, that is to say, the 0, put yourself first and the 1, the divine principle, after you in second place, you diminish your qualities and your chances of progress. Whereas, if you say, 'Lord, you are the only one who is truly great, powerful and wise; I will place you before me, always in first place, and I will follow you,' your capacity increases, you become a 10. That is how truly spiritual people behave - they put the Lord first in order to receive good advice and guidance.
