New life - by giving, we awaken forces that are dormant within us

The trouble with human beings is that they are always afraid of losing something, so they curl up and close themselves off. It never occurs to them that it is precisely this withdrawn attitude that makes them poor. If you want to be rich you have to give. Yes, those who take become poorer, and those who give become richer. This is because when we give, we awaken certain unknown forces that are sleeping in the depths of our soul. As these forces burst forth and start to flow through us, we are astonished to feel so full. We wonder, ‘How can it be that I gave and gave, and still find myself becoming richer and richer?’ This is the new life. People keep saying: ‘Life must change, society must change.’ but we will not succeed in creating a new society as long as we continue to cling to the same old mentalities driven by the need to take and take, and never give.
