Medicine, orthodox - knowledge of it is indispensable if you want to treat people

Before attempting to guide others on the path of light, you must begin by educating yourself, because if you haven’t studied sufficiently it is very easy to make mistakes. The knowledge you can acquire from official science is absolutely essential in certain situations, and this is particularly true where medicine is concerned. It is true that there are people who, thanks to the practice of certain virtues and their immense love for their fellow human beings, have acquired a magnetism that enables them to ease their ills, but these people are rare. Those who wish to care for others must begin by studying, or they are likely to make others worse. I am not saying that orthodox medicine is ideal – its investigations often go no further than the physical body – but the knowledge it affords is indispensable. If you then wish to go further and direct your research toward subtler, more spiritual domains, that is fine, but you should never treat people without first having studied.
