Master’s goal - training workers who will spread the light

We all have a goal in life, and the goal of a spiritual Master is not to attract everybody to himself, but to train workers to work for the coming of the kingdom of God. So, if he senses that by his teaching he is not training genuine workers, true servants of God, he will have the impression that he has been wasting his time, that his work has been for nothing. His disciples would do well to think, ‘Our Master* is there to help, enlighten and instruct us, to link us with heaven, but isn’t there something we should be doing for him? Doesn’t he, too, have certain wishes and aspirations?’ And they will find that he does indeed want something. But the difference is that he does not want anything for himself. He wants workers who will spread light, servants of God who will work for the good of the whole world.
