Love - renewing ourselves so that it endures
Only those who love each other truly know what silence is. The strength of their feelings brings them a fullness that no words can express; this is why they live a life of the greatest intensity without there being any need to speak. However, more often than not, this love does not last. People do not know how to make it last; one day, the silence that sets in between them is one of indifference, resentment, and even hatred. Why? Because their love for each other was selfish and limited – they focussed solely on each other, they immediately gave each other the best they had. If you wish your love to be enduring, you must see to it that you renew yourself by seeking to acquire new riches, new beauty and new light every day.
