Light - a manifestation of primordial fire

Tradition tells us that the creation of the world began with light. Before all else, God created light, that is to say fire, for light is a manifestation of primordial fire. So at the beginning of everything there is fire, and fire is at the heart of all things. Even that which Initiates called the elixir of everlasting life is nothing other than condensed fire. This is why those who drank it felt that they were being penetrated and burned by fire. This fire would cause them to collapse, but when they got back up a few moments later, their organism was freed of all impurities and they triumphed over sickness and death. In order to burn away all the impurities that prevent currents from flowing freely in our physical and spiritual bodies, we must call on fire,* the fire of divine love, the fire that liberates. But human beings can attract this fire only by sacrifice, by deciding to work not for themselves, but for the divine Principle.
