Joy - preparing for its visits
True joy is the soul’s tendency to go beyond difficulties, obstacles and sorrows and experience life as a gift of God, a gift for which it feels gratitude and the need to give thanks. If you want joy to visit you often, cultivate this feeling of gratitude toward the Creator, and not just toward the Creator but also toward nature and other human beings. In this way, because you will be in the habit of keeping this feeling alive inside, even when you have no particular reason to feel joyful it will come and take you by surprise… like very dear friends who sometimes drop in on you unexpectedly.
