Difficulties - overcome them by keeping your thoughts focused on the divine world

Even if your daily life is full of things that distress you, even if you are often jostled and mistreated, it is always possible to cling to or restore a divine state of higher consciousness.* It is simply a habit, a light that has to be acquired: that of living in a state of vigilance, of constant attention to the divine world, of reminding yourself first thing in the morning to keep your thoughts focused on heaven while performing all the ordinary actions of your everyday life. If you get into the habit of maintaining this attitude throughout the day, you will see that nothing can leave you shaken for long. Bad news, an illness or an accident can be very upsetting, but if you make a habit of keeping your thoughts focused on the divine world, you will overcome difficulties of this kind much more quickly, for God has given all power to the spirit.
