‘Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect’ - programme for the whole human race

Suppose a young man wants to become an engineer. He has no choice but to agree to a programme of study, and if he is really meant for this profession his studies will go towards fulfilling the programme inscribed in his soul. Unfortunately, many men and women, under the effect of all sorts of external pressures, but also driven by their personal ambitions, are led to choose professions which do not further their spiritual development. It is impossible to escape the constraints imposed by family and society, but as far as you can, choose to do something that allows you to live in line with the programme inscribed in your soul. This programme is the same one Jesus gave two thousand years ago: ‘Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.’ To draw closer each day to the perfection of the heavenly Father is the one and only programme applicable to the whole human race.
