Inspiration - true inspiration is divine inspiration

It is not because a speaker is moved by a powerful psychic current, mesmerizing the audience, that they can be said to be genuinely ‘inspired’. For in regards to inspiration, it is essential to know its origin, the source from which it springs. Yes, this must be clearly understood. A person may well have the power to galvanize crowds and hold them under their spell, but this does not mean that they are truly inspired, in the sense that Initiates understand inspiration. Politicians are often a case in point. There is no denying that they have a gift, but often this is no more than an ability to amplify certain psychic forces and energies of a very low nature. They merely express perfectly ordinary sentiments and thoughts, but with great intensity; the quality of what they say is in no way enhanced. True inspiration, on the other hand, implies exceptional quality and is infused with elements of great purity and subtlety. True inspiration is divine inspiration.*
