Working - participating in a celestial enterprise

Jesus said, ‘My Father is still working and I am working with him.’ In saying this, he was calling on all humans to work for the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth. The question of exactly how long it will be before this comes about is not important. What is important – and this is something you must understand – is that as soon as you decide to participate in this gigantic, noble, divine work, and devote all your strength and energy to it, you are entering a new order of things; you are manifesting yourself as a true child of God. It is very important to know for whom you are working and where your energies are being used. Without realizing it, those who participate in a dishonest enterprise become permeated with all the filth they stir up and end by destroying all the good they once possessed. You must participate in a grandiose, celestial enterprise. It does not matter whether it actually succeeds or not, or whether people understand and follow you or not; what matters is that you are doing some good work on yourself. Everything within you is improving, and it is you who benefit.*
