Unity and duality - in reality all human beings are one

The most important thing for the conduct of our life is to know that everything is one. Of course, to all appearances, the philosophy of duality seems closer to the truth, given how the world endlessly presents a sorry spectacle of battles, conflicts, clashes and rivalries of every kind. Human beings are pitted against each other, but in reality, they are one. If they separate it spells death for all, and this is precisely what they fail to see. So while they fight one another and appear to be separate, they are linked, they are sustained by unity. On this Cosmic Tree of unity, there are many branches, leaves and fruits that frequently jostle each other, but this cannot alter the fact that they all stem from the same trunk and the same roots, on which they depend for their very survival.*
