Ties with heaven - if we sever them, we stop being nourished with new energy

Those who sever their ties with the divine world may continue to feel rich and fulfilled for a time. If they are intelligent, strong-willed and full of vitality, if they know how to look after themselves, be enterprising and assert themselves, it may seem that their faculties are undiminished. But little by little, as they are no longer sustained by currents from above, something inside them begins to rot. Unwelcome entities take hold and, like woodworm, begin to gnaw away at their hearts and minds. When light is no longer there, human beings stop receiving a current of fresh energy. Ignorant people see only the temporary state and jump to conclusions: ‘See? There’s no point in believing in God or staying connected to Him. Look at so-and-so; he is an atheist and he is very successful.’ Yes, but you need to see beyond appearances and understand the way the laws work: some years later, in one way or another, that same person will very likely be psychologically bankrupt.
