Symbolic forms - how they appear to our awareness

Human beings are more than just their physical body - thanks to their subtle bodies, they are in relationship with the whole cosmos. They live and resonate with the universal Soul, with all generations from the far distant past; they are in touch with the world of ideas, the world of archetypes, laws, forces and truths, and this world can be reflected in them in the form of images and symbols. When you meditate on a very lofty truth on the causal plane, that truth can cause a reaction in the depth of your being, and then a form comes to mind, that of a being, or object or geometric figure. Premonitory dreams and prophetic visions can be explained in this way. If it were up to you to find an exact correspondence, you wouldn't be able to do so, because there are thousands of symbolic forms. Nature alone knows this affinity between things, and it presents your mind with an image that matches perfectly the subject on which you are focused.
