Spiritual Master - you must first transform yourself and be extremely strong to become one

On the strength of having read a few esoteric books, many people open a school and surround themselves with disciples, thinking that all they have to do is preach a bit of mumbo-jumbo, and they will be considered as spiritual masters. Good Lord, if only it were so easy! In order to be a true spiritual master, capable of guiding, enlightening, and transforming others, not only must you have already transformed yourself, but you must be extremely strong. A young girl falls in love with a drunkard and marries him, convinced that she will be able to save him from his vice. It is commendable to want to save a man, but does she have the means to do so? Ultimately, not only will she fail to save him, but she will turn to drink herself, and they will both end up in the ditch. People imagine that they are equipped to help others just as they are. However, not only are they of no help, but when faced with overwhelming psychological problems, it is they who end up adrift.
