Spiritual life - pay attention, speak only about constructive subjects

When you decide to embrace the spiritual life, you devote time to prayer, meditation and the study of philosophical or mystical writings that give you a glimpse of the most profound truths. Your heart then fills with love, your mind is enlightened, and the meaning of life finally becomes clear to you. But after these moments of intense life, you allow your thoughts and conversations to drift back to ordinary things, and within minutes you lose all that you had gained. So, in future, pay attention and be especially vigilant in your conversations. Always try to talk about constructive subjects, and to speak only kind words that will give others courage and help them to see things in a better light, that will strengthen their desire to stick to the path of light. Words are seeds, and seeds sprout and produce either flowers and fruit, or thorns and poisonous plants that harm those who receive them.*
