Scientists - little by little they will come closer to the science of the Initiates

The error scientists make is not that they study matter, but that they study only its crudest aspects. Matter does not exist exclusively on the physical plane. It also exists on the etheric, astral and mental planes. Initiates, too, work with matter—if this were not so, how could they have laid the foundations of alchemy, astrology and magic? How could they have left us such an immense body of science about minerals and plants? If they were interested only in spiritual things, how could they have learned all the secrets of the human body? But the Initiates had a much broader and more far-reaching understanding of matter than conventional scientists, who still do not really know what matter is. In fact, physicists have already had a few surprises: all their previous notions about matter have been turned upside down, and they are now increasingly inclined to consider matter as a form of energy. It will not be long before they make yet other discoveries, and in this way, little by little, they will come closer to the science of the Initiates.*
