Roles - exercises that Cosmic Intelligence has prepared in order to push us toward perfection

All human beings have a role to play on earth, in fact often several roles, in our families and in society. Everyone must play their part, fully conscious of their responsibilities. At the same time, we must remember that everything in this world is transient; these roles are only exercises, prepared for us by Cosmic Intelligence to push us toward perfection. In this sense, we could say that the earth is both a school and a stage. We need to take these exercises seriously, and perform them as well as possible, but in so doing, we must not take our part in life too seriously. This means that we must not cling to it as if nothing were more important and as if our situation were permanent. What would we say about an actor who continued to act the part of King Lear, Napoleon or Scheherazade after the play had ended? Well, this is what human beings tend to do, especially those with honorary positions: they identity themselves with their roles and forget that their appearance on stage is very brief. Initiates, on the other hand, never forget this. They are aware of the ephemeral nature of their time on earth and the role they are playing here, which is why they always act with wisdom and selflessness.
