Relations - how to influence them so that they do not hinder our spiritual evolution

You may have relations or friends who do not agree with the spiritual path you have decided to follow. Do not give up speaking to them; try to make them understand why you have chosen this path. There is no need to lecture them or make long speeches, but from time to time slip a few words in during conversation or on a particular occasion. Even if they protest or pretend not to hear, the thought you have formulated will make a beneficial impression on them. Otherwise, do you know what could happen? After those people leave the earth, they will still be wanting to divert you from your ideal, and they will come and insinuate themselves into you to present their arguments. And then when they have succeeded in sowing doubts in you, you will think the doubts are your own, and in the end you will give up.
