Reincarnation - family relationships from a past life

When a child is born into a family, do its parents know where it came from, what its background is, and why it was born to them in particular? It often happens that children are born into a certain family because, in a past life, they had some form of relationship with their present parents. A boy may have been engaged, married or in love with the woman who is now his mother, and the same is true of a girl and her father. Having once known love between them in one form, they must now, in the course of their evolution, experience it in another form. Ordinary physical love has to evolve. If today a man and a woman feel a sexual attraction for each other, in their next incarnation they may well be parent and child. They will kiss each other again, but their embrace will be that of parent and child, which is more evolved, more spiritual in nature.*
