Mirror - symbol of phenomena on the astral plane

Every day, you use a mirror to look over the details of your physical appearance: your face, your hair, your clothing…but it can also reveal many other things. Stand before a mirror and touch your right eyebrow with your left hand; in your reflection you will see your right hand touching your left eyebrow. A mirror is a very interesting object because it helps us understand certain aspects of the invisible world. When objects on the physical plane are viewed from the astral plane, they are seen in reverse, as in a mirror. Numbers, dates, everything appears in reverse; a fact in the future appears to be in the past, and vice versa. This is why the astral world is the world of illusions. In order to know the truth, then, you must go beyond it to the higher mental plane, or causal plane*. And this is what a spiritual teaching reveals to us. Those who succeed in solving the problem of the mirror will solve the greatest problems of the psychic life.
