Lord, the - why we must put him first

Strive to put the Lord first. Place him above all your desires, all your personal interests, and you will experience many positive changes occurring within you; above all, you will become an organized world. To give priority to the Lord and place him at the head of your being is to find an unshakeable point of equilibrium. When an object is firmly fastened, you can shake it about and it will automatically return to its position of balance, whereas if it is not firmly fastened it will fall. It is the same with us humans. So long as the Lord is not strongly established as our resting place, the slightest upset that arises in our life can throw us off balance. But as soon as we learn to place all our love, faith and trust in the Creator, we remain steady and robust whatever happens.
