Life, spiritual - based on the repetition of a few essential truths

Even if they have reached adulthood, most people are still like children: to hold their attention, you have to keep offering them new things. And this failing can be seen in spiritual people too. Even if the teaching they receive provides them with such a profusion of truths that they don’t even have the time to assimilate them, they still expect something new. But what are they doing with what they have already received? There are essential truths that you ought to bring to mind ten, twenty, thirty times a day. All the while you do not impose this discipline on yourself, you will not progress. If you sometimes allow yourself to do things that are not particularly fair or noble and that you later regret, it is because you have forgotten the truths and laws that would have allowed you to conquer your weaknesses. You are very willing to breathe, eat, drink and sleep every day… Make sure you are also willing to keep going back over the same truths. That is where you will find novelty: in the things you discover inside by going deeper every day into these truths.
