Liberation - autumn is the best time to meditate on separation

10/10/2026

Good and evil are so closely intertwined that we have to think very carefully before seeking to separate them. Any premature separation causes wrenching and tearing. Separation is a most difficult art and Initiates take their instruction from nature itself. We are not able to separate the nut from its husk, but nature knows how to do so: it lets the fruit ripen until the husk comes away by itself and falls off. This separation is a sign of maturity. A child is attached to its mother’s womb; tearing it away prematurely would result in death for both. But if you wait, the fruit falls and the cord that ties the child to its mother can be cut. Initiates, who have observed nature, say, ‘Your soul is a prisoner; to free it you must separate it from the thick layer that surrounds it. But first, you must wait until it has reached maturity.’ Autumn is the best time to meditate on true liberation.
