Jesus - the first of God’s messengers to be a revolutionary

Every human being is a son or daughter of God, and Jesus was crucified because he came to reveal this great truth. Yes, because this truth had been carefully hidden from the masses for fear that if human beings became aware of their divine origins, they would no longer obey the rules imposed on them by those in power. Jesus was the first of God’s messengers to be a revolutionary, the first to disregard all the ancient laws. He taught that all human beings shared the same divine origin, and because he spoke of himself as the son of God he was made to pay for his audacity on the cross. And yet the Old Testament says, ‘You are gods.’ This truth had been deliberately concealed, and it is still concealed today. The first task of a genuine spiritual teaching is to help human beings to understand and sense that they are all children of the same father—God, and the same mother—Nature, the Universal Soul.*
