Inspiration - conditions for its manifestation created by love

Inspiration is not a state which concerns only artists and other creators: each of us, even in our daily lives, has a need to be inspired, or in other words, to be visited by the spirit. But inspiration comes and goes. When it leaves us, we are like a tree in winter. But we must not worry, because, like the tree, inspiration will return when the conditions are reunited, in the spring. It is up to us, then, to create the conditions of spring in our soul. How? By means of love. It is love that creates spring within us, and not just any kind of love, but spiritual love. The spirit is not willing to be directed, as it is said in the Gospels: ‘The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.’ By means of love we create the conditions for its coming.
