Initiation - it is dangerous to reveal certain discoveries to those who are not prepared

The quintessence of Initiation is contained in these four precepts: to know, to will, to dare, to keep silent. And why keep silent? Well, precisely because the discoveries we make thanks to the three preceding activities—to know, to will and to dare—are of such a nature and of such power that it is very dangerous to reveal them to those who are not suitably prepared, either because they have not taken this path or because they have bad intentions. Yes, ‘to keep silent’ demonstrates the immeasurable importance of this knowledge, this will and this daring. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is people’s tendency to use the best things for the worst purposes. That is why it is better to refrain from revealing certain things to them.
