Evil spirits - it is up to us not to fall into their traps

So many people wonder, ‘Why hasn’t God decided to destroy the spirits of evil?’ Well, it is because they too have the right to live! It is our responsibility to be clear-sighted and prudent enough not to fall into their traps. God will never punish the devil for tempting human beings. It is up to us to become stronger and more enlightened, to understand what is truly in our best interest, and why it would be better to go in one direction rather than the other. But we need to be totally convinced of this. It would serve no purpose to force a person along the path of goodness and light against their will. The Creator and the spirits of heaven leave us free to develop our consciousness, and to shoulder responsibility for our choice of direction.*
