Dark entities - they leave those seeking to grow inwardly

People who climb very high peaks find that up there, certain thoughts and certain selfish and petty feelings leave them. They find that many things that worried or hurt them seem suddenly irrelevant, thanks to the altitude, the pure air, and the space that opens wide in front of them. The same is true with those who have grown spiritually. Up until then, like every human being, they were inhabited by lower entities that their dark thoughts and feelings had attracted. But the atmosphere that reigns in the regions of their spirit to where they have now risen is unbreathable for such entities – they cannot stand them, and so they leave. The higher we go, the freer we become, because with every step we make towards the summit, the entities that cannot survive beyond a certain altitude are forced to leave.
