Consciousness and subconscious - image of the lotus

Because I speak to you only about realities that exist within you – even if you are not yet aware of them and do not understand them – I know that my words touch something in you that yearns to be brought out into the light. It is like a lotus that begins by growing underwater before opening its petals on the surface. Things are born, take form and begin to grow in the darkness of the subconscious. When they finally appear on the level of consciousness, they are not at their first beginnings, but nearly at their completion, for they have been in motion for a long time. In the same way, my words awaken something in the deepest part of your being that will one day rise like a lotus* and blossom above the water.
