Clairvoyance - a beneficial faculty as long as one is working to become purer and psychologically strong

Many people on a spiritual path imagine clairvoyance to be a most desirable faculty! Well, it isn’t, and it will stop them from progressing if they develop it before they have become purer and stronger. Otherwise, what will they see? They will be unable to progress beyond the lower regions of the astral plane, where only dark, malicious entities are encountered. They will be so horrified that their only thought will be to rid themselves of this faculty that seemed so desirable but has now become a source of torment. True clairvoyants are able to raise themselves to a level where they can contemplate the celestial regions, and to get there they need to purify themselves. They must also develop great psychological strength and discernment, because they will also have to bear the sight of all that dark, criminal scheming in human hearts and minds. ‘Seeing’ is not enough; they also have to be sufficiently pure to discover the splendours of heaven and sufficiently strong to withstand the horrors of hell.
