Link - restoring the link with the centre of your being

Make an effort every day to restore the link with the centre of your being, your spirit, God. There are many different ways of doing this, but here is a very simple method. From time to time, stop whatever you are doing, close your eyes, go within yourself, and try to reach your inner centre, that pure wellspring of life. Opening and closing our eyes is one of the most frequent acts of daily life, but we never learn anything from it because we do it unconsciously. From now on, try to do this exercise consciously: close your eyes slowly and keep them closed for a moment, then slowly open them again, and observe the changes taking place within you. Little by little, you will begin to understand how alternately opening and closing your eyes corresponds to what goes on in your inner life. To open your eyes is to go out towards the outside world, with its hustle and bustle and noise; to close them is to return to the centre of your being, where all is peace and silence. Once you succeed in reaching this centre within you, you will sense an influx of currents bringing you balance, harmony and light.*
