Earth - its capacity for transforming waste, from which we should draw inspiration

How many people have allowed themselves to die of sorrow or even committed suicide because of slander, hate mail or poisonous magazine articles! How many artists too, because of negative criticism and mockery! If they succumbed, it is because they did not know something the earth knows very well. What does the earth do with the waste and rubbish we throw at it? It takes it as fertilizer, as very precious material, and uses it to aid the growth of all vegetation. It is thanks to this fertilizer that fruits have colour, fragrance, taste and all kinds of nutritional properties. So why would human beings not know the secrets that the earth knows? Why must they succumb to the filth of criticism, malicious gossip and slander? If they learn to transform it all, they too will give colourful, fragrant, tasty, nourishing fruits. If they reach this level of understanding, they will end up being convinced that, in spite of appearances, those who are unjustly persecuted are in a better position than their enemies.
