Sun - living image of the Divinity

Always consider the sun as the truest representative of the Divinity. Why do people find it normal to go to churches or temples and bow down, kneel and pray before icons, crosses or statues and yet find it strange to contemplate the sun? How do they imagine they will receive more light or more solace by shutting themselves away within walls, among objects made of metal or wood, than by going into nature in the morning to greet the sun, which has issued bright and alive from God's hands? Go and pray in churches - why not? But realize it is the sun that will teach you how to live the divine life, thanks to its light and its warmth.
