Purity, only - gives us a good perspective of things

Thanks to scientific and technological progress, humanity has gained significant power over matter, and we can therefore say that the past century has surpassed all others before it. However, the material world now fascinates our contemporaries and has a hold on them to the point they lose sight of the realities of the spiritual world. Only their physical eyes are open and they seek whatever they can to satisfy their curiosity or their interests. It is as if their inner eye, the eye in the subtle regions of their being, is struck with blindness. A good inner vision of things can only be acquired through purity. This is why our teaching stresses the importance of a pure life, on the physical plane and also on the psychic plane. Human beings' destiny depends on the clarity their inner eye, and this clarity in turn depends on their way of life. If they transgress divine laws, their spiritual vision clouds over and they can no longer be warned nor guided, and they get lost in dead ends. But if they decide to lead a clean life, with honesty and integrity, their subtle centres will start to function and they will be able to see, and also live in the light.
