Ideal, spiritual - summons our energies and gives them direction

Those who do not seek to entertain a spiritual ideal within themselves are incapable of summoning and directing their energies rightly, and their whole life will be spent in disarray. You only have to take a look at most people's lives; they are in such disorder and chaos! Why? Because their ideal is money, glory, power and pleasures. Obviously, one cannot deny that many of them have original and colourful lives. You can write novels and make films about them. Yes, what exciting adventures! How they deceived a rival and got rid of them, how they ruined a competitor... Maybe, but sooner or later they will pay dearly for using all their talents in such a contemptible way, when they should have dedicated them to achieving a spiritual ideal.
