Efforts - alone count, the results do not depend on us

Whatever we undertake, in whatever sphere, material or spiritual, it is our efforts that count. Heaven never considers success, only the efforts we make. Heaven alone decides what or who will be successful, for everything we do is part of a whole and must therefore serve and be in accordance with the Creator’s plans. It may be that the projects we are working on are not meant to turn out as we hope they will. It is up to us to make the efforts, but the success is out of our hands. So let the beings on high decide when your efforts will be crowned with success. And if the time has not yet come, tell yourself, ‘For now, it’s true, I apparently still don’t have anything to show for my work, but in truth I know that today it is already bearing fruit.’ Yes, because the results appear first in your heart and your soul – do you not sense that? Nothing we do remains the same, nor does it stagnate.
