Light - protecting ourselves against the spirits of darkness

By means of meditation and prayer, make every effort to protect yourself by taking in as much light as possible. When Initiatic Science speaks of light, it is referring in fact to benevolent entities, and when those entities dwell within you, they stand in the way of the spirits of darkness. This does not mean that the light will prevent you from being tormented occasionally. Unfortunately, as long as we are on earth, we can never be entirely sheltered from attack or conflict. Even Initiates have to shield themselves. Yes, even the purest, greatest and most powerful Initiate must constantly think to protect himself by erecting a barrier of light, a circle of flames, between himself and the spirits of evil who try to attack him. And if this is so, how can people who are weak and ignorant imagine that they need no protection?*
