Initiation, The path of - seek the light of the higher mind
I am often asked to explain what an initiate is. I can only respond that an initiate is someone who has started to understand that they must give more room to intelligence and reason, the faculties of the higher mind. Every day they focus, reflect and meditate; they continuously consult this spiritual principle within themselves, and beg it to guide and enlighten them. It is by making a habit of always turning upwards to look and ask, that humans make progress; because their internal energies then change direction. Until then, they remain in the lower regions of consciousness where they cause distraction, disorder and destruction. But as soon as they get used to looking upwards, searching for their orientation up above, their thoughts, feelings and actions are transformed by the power of their higher mind and they walk on the path of initiation.
