Initiates - nourish themselves with the divine life that human beings carry within them

Initiates need to nourish themselves just like everybody else, but what they seek is the divine life. When they find fruits and flowers – that is, human beings who carry this divine life within them – they pause by them and say to themselves, ‘Thank you heavenly Father, thank you divine Mother, I can see aspects of you within these people. By means of these fruits and flowers, I can now draw closer to you and contemplate you. Through this splendour I can breathe in your fragrance and savour your delights.’ And they go away happy, because these fruits and flowers have brought them closer to heaven.*
