Hand, The - carries written in it the mysteries of creation

The hand carries the mysteries of creation, divine will and divine action written in it. Only an extraordinarily powerful microscope could give us an idea of the universe as it is represented in the palm of the hand, for it is like the cosmos with its constellations, its nebulae and all the heavenly bodies. The line of Saturn would appear to us as the Milky Way, and we would find many more galaxies besides. The human being is a representation of the universe in miniature and the hand a representation of the human being. And so we can relate through the hand with the whole of creation. We must become aware of this and preserve our hands as sacred instruments ready to manifest God’s will. Jesus said, ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.’ The meaning of this phrase relates to the hands.
