Evolution - realize the synthesis of form and force

Every day we must deal with the question of container and content, or, expressed differently, form and force, in order to create a synthesis of the two. What does it mean to create a synthesis of form and force? It means we must protect the form from being shattered by spiritual forces, and at the same time maintain the fire of the spirit so that the form never ceases to be animated. Those who cling to static forms will sooner or later be swept away by the currents which the spirit ceaselessly sends into the world, for this goes against the direction of evolution. All the philosophies, all the religions which are fixed in their old forms will be carried away by the surging powers of renewal. Everything must be renewed. There is no safe harbour in the universe for those who refuse to understand that forms must continually evolve.
